Dear Mother Theodore Catholic Academy Stakeholders,
Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education. This year the theme is “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community." I am so excited that Catholic Schools Week is here! As a Catholic school leader I am pleased to highlight and showcase the amazing opportunities and possibilities that the Mother Theodore Catholic Academies offers our students and communities. This month I want to highlight Holy Angels Catholic School and what the school and community provide to our scholars.
This spring, Holy Angels will embark upon a principal search. Currently Mr. Howard Carter is acting as interim principal. Mr. Carter comes to Holy Angels Catholic School with 20 plus years in public school education and recent experience at the Indiana Department of Education. We are thankful and blessed that Mr. Carter stepped up to secure leadership this semester. If you are interested in being part of our search committee, please let me know. The search will start in the next few weeks.
Since Holy Angels Catholic School's founding in 1907, it has provided a faith-filled and academically rigorous experience that forms both the mind and the heart. Our faculty and staff members work together with our hundreds of scholars from grades PreK-6 and their families to create a vibrant and thriving community. We are currently looking into an innovative curriculum for next year to enhance our scholars' educational experiences.
Throughout the year, scholars are invited to grow in their personal relationship with God, serve others, learn about the Catholic faith, receive the Sacraments, and worship together. They participate in weekly Masses, prayer services, Sacramental preparation, Advent, Lent, and other celebrations of the Church Year. Mass is weekly on Wednesdays starting at 9a.m. We welcome you to join the school community for masses weekly.
Catholic Schools Week is an opportunity for all Catholic schools around the United States to showcase what sets us apart from other public, non-public and charter schools. Our love and dedication to our mission and the Eucharist is the first thing that comes to my mind. We are so blessed to be able to proclaim our love for our faith.
I want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. It is because of generous donors, volunteers, partnerships, and prayers that the Mother Theodore Catholic Academies are able to make a difference and provide opportunities and possibilities to our students in greater Indianapolis.
